The team from Rivotek were in Gauteng, Midrand, Johanesburg, from the 22nd to the 25th of March 2011 for the Microsoft Live @Edu and Learning Gateway conference at Bytes People Solutions.
There, we had key interactions with the Edu community in IT from all over Africa.
The goal was for partners to understand Microsoft’s role and and direction in Education, and understanding the pertinent programs offered from both a technical and a business perspective.
Education portals and integrated information systems under unified communications was stressed, and the teams trained extensively on Live@Edu, Sharepoint as an LMS, Moodle integration with Live@Edu and Windows Multipoint Server.
We also got a sneek peek into the concepts and offerings in Office 365 for Education.
Its amazing what an education institution can do with a little investment in ICT.
